where do we go from here? was a performative installation reflecting on what it means to build a sustainable, radical community. The banners contained clippings of archival material from the lesbian newspaper Lavender Woman, as well as sachets of lavender. Throughout the exhibition, I occupied the exhibit and typed reflections on the archive and history of the newspaper group and documented conversations I had with viewers about the community spaces they had been a part of. As the papers were typed, they got clothespinned to the banners, accumulating throughout the show.
